FOXBOROUGH – St. Mary’s head football coach Sean Driscoll expected the Stoneham game to be a “grind” for both running oriented teams. The physical MIAA Division 6 Championship contest was won by St. Mary’s 29-8 as they exploded in the second half, after leading by just seven points at the half. David Brown came up big on offense, scoring three rushing touchdowns and catching a 12-yard TD pass from quarterback Tyler Guy. Brown ended with 195 rushing yards on 17 carries, Brown scored all four St. Mary’s touchdowns. Colin Ferren led Stoneham in rushing with 122 yards on 23 carries and scored their only touchdown, the first score of the game.
