MIAA D2 North Hockey: Lincoln-Sudbury, Marblehead Advance to Finals

CHELMSFORD– (Radio) Lincoln Sudbury defeated Gloucester tonight 5-1 to advance to the finals in the first game of the doubleheader at the Chelmsford Forum.  Eric Holden has three points for the Warriors, including a pair of unassisted goals.

Marblehead, trailing most of the night, was kept off the scoreboard until late in the third period when Andrew McGurrin converted a perfect pass from Colin Daly to tie the game at 8:57 after Boston Latin had held onto a 1-0 lead from 6:17 of the first period followng a Gavin Quinn goal.    Braden Haley netted the game winner for the Headers at 10:38 of the third on a two on one conversion with the feed from Tim Kalinowski.  Ronan Cunningham was outstanding in net.  Lincoln-Sudbury and Marblehead will meet next Monday night at the Tsongas Arena for the D2 North crown
