MIAA D1 Girls Hockey State Championship Game: Shrewsbury 4, St. Mary’s 1 – Postgame Video Comments – Photos

BOSTON – (Videos – Photos) #3 Shrewsbury (21-2-2) captured the MIAA D1 Girls Ice Hockey Championship with a 4-1win over #1 St. Mary’s (25-2). The game was tight and well played on both sides for over two periods. Shrewsbury scored the game first goal 10 minutes into the first period, the second period was scoreless and St. Mary’s tied the game at 2:33 of period three on a goal from Amanda Forziati. Less than two minutes later Shrewsbury would retake the lead at 4:50 of the third period. They would add two more goals in the third period, the 4th goal was an empty net goal with the St. Mary’s goaltender pulled for an extra skater.
