MIAA Boys Soccer: Ludlow Tops St. John’s Prep 3-2 (OT) Season Ends for Eagles at Home

DANVERS (Video) #4 St. John’s Prep lost to #20 Ludlow Wednesday night 3-2 in overtime. This was the Prep’s second game in the MIAA D1 tournament, having received a first round bye and beating Boston Latin in the round of 32. Ludlow beat #13 Framingham in their round of 32 game (3-0). Ludlow led the game at halftime (1-0) on a goal from Enzo Botta. St. John’s would tie the game in the second half on a Matt Foley goal and Jake Vana would give the Prep a short lived 2-1 lead on a penalty kick goal. Ludlow’s winning goal was scored by Jayden Premo. Ludlow’s second goal was tallied by Thomas Quiterio. Ludlow improves to 17-1-2 on the season while the Catholic Conference champion Prep team ends the season at 12-2-2.
