BEVERLY (Video & Photos) The Marblehead girls basketball team scored a 42-39 win over Beverly Monday night to win a Northeastern Conference title. The Magicians were led by Leila Walton’s 16 point performance. Marblehead led by 9 points at the half (22-13) and had a 10 point lead in the third quarter only to see Beverly take a 29-28 lead, early in the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter was tight with several lead changes. Emily Clough added 11 points for Marblehead. Beverly was led by Sydney Anderson (18 points) and Tia Bernard (10 points) Marblehead finishes the regular season at 17-3, Beverly (10-7) will play at Lynn English on Wednesday.
