Manchester-by-the-Sea Police Investigating Stabbing Sunday Night

MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA — Chief Todd Fitzgerald reports that the Manchester-by-the-Sea Police Department is investigating a stabbing and where a suspect was arrested Sunday night.
At approximately 7:50 p.m. Sunday, Manchester-by-the-Sea Police responded to the area of School Street and North Street for a report of a man who had been stabbed.
Upon arrival, officers located a man in his mid-30s who had suffered multiple stab wounds. The man was taken by ambulance to Beverly Hospital with injuries that are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Through the subsequent investigation, a male suspect was arrested by Revere Police later Sunday night.
The stabbing is believed to have taken place inside a vehicle as it was leaving Masconomo Park in Manchester-by-the-Sea, not far from where the victim was located.
Residents likely noticed a large police presence in the area throughout the evening, but Chief Fitzgerald would like to notify residents that there is no current danger to the public.
The incident remains under active investigation by Manchester-by-the-Sea Police and further information, including the identity of the suspect and charges, will be made available on Monday.
