MANCHESTER-BY-THE-SEA – At 12:07 PM yesterday, North Shore Regional 911 alerted Manchester Fire to respond to Ipswich’s 2nd Alarm fire at 383 Linebrook Rd.
Engine 1 and Car 1 responded. Engine 1’s chauffeur, FF Roddy, was tasked with “pumping the hydrant” to increase operating pressure for attack crews. The remainder of Engine 1’s crew, Acting Lt. Butler and FF Seely, operated a handline to assist Ipswich and other mutual aid companies in extinguishing the fire.
It is crucial to recognize Ipswich Fire and Rowley Fire for their courageous actions immediately upon their arrival, where they rescued two individuals from the second floor of the home. For more details, please see Ipswich Fire’s official press release here.
While Engine 1 and Car 1 were out of town, Manchester remained fully protected by call-back full-time personnel, ensuring uninterrupted coverage for our community.
