Lynn Woods Walking Tour with Greenbelt
Saturday, July 9th from 9-10:30 am
Join Lynn Museum/LynnArts and Greenbelt for a free guided 2-mile tour of Lynn Woods, a 2000+ acre recreational woods area and municipal park. The 90-minute tour follows one of the many trails at Lynn Woods and features outstanding views of Stone Tower, Dungeon Rock, and more. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes.
We will leave from the Pennybrook Road entrance (106 Pennybrook Road, Lynn, MA, 01905) at 9 am and return around 10:30 am. There is a restroom at the Pennybrook Road entrance.

Following the tour, head to the Lynn Museum for Second Saturday. Enjoy complimentary admission from 10 am – 2 pm, see our current exhibitions, enjoy art-making activities, or sit in the park and read a book from the Little Free Library. Don’t forget to check out the Museum shop!

Lincoln Anniballi, a resident of Natick, MA, and host of the “Henry Wilson & the Civil War” podcast, will share Wilson’s rise from indentured servant to Natick shoemaker, U.S. senator, and Ulysses S.Grant’s Vice-President. Lincoln hopes to shine a light on this Massachusetts native and lifelong champion of civil rights.
The conversation will take place over Zoom and live-streamed to Facebook.
Bud Fowler Appreciation Night

Join Lynn Museum/LynnArts, the North Shore Navigators, North Shore Juneteenth Association, Inc., and Senator Crighton’s Office as we recognize Bud Fowler.
Fowler is considered one of the first African-Americans to play professional baseball and played for the Lynn Live Oaks in 1878. In honor of Fowler’s induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on July 24th, we have invited educator and early baseball historian Brian Sheehy to share Fowler’s history and legacy with displays, baseball cards, and more during the game.
Lynn Summer Arts Festival
Saturday, July 23rd from 11 am – 3 pm
Lynn Museum/LynnArts is excited to participate in the first-ever Lynn Summer Arts Festival! In addition to complimentary admission, join guest artist Zahirah Nur Truth of ZNT Arts for a fun Plein Air Painting Workshop.
Participants will delve into soft impressionism techniques to create bright, vibrant abstracted paintings inspired by summer’s magic of bees and flowers. Set your inner artist free, find happiness amongst nature, and be in community! The outdoor drop-in art-making workshop is between 1-3 pm.

Final Fridays: Art in the Park

Lynn Forward/Adelante Lynn presents Final Fridays: Art in the Park at the Frederick Douglass Memorial Park & Lynn Museum/LynnArts Park.
Enjoy this annual summer event featuring live music in collaboration with Soneta Srey, Alexa Ortiz, and the Lynn Hip Hop Wall of Fame, art-making activities, vendors, and more in celebration of Lynn’s incredible community of young BIPOC artists.
