Mr. Cash is accused of shooting Leonardo Clement, 46, of Lynn, on the corner of Spring and Exchange Streets on Easter Sunday.

A Probable Cause Hearing is scheduled for June 5, 2017 in Lynn District Court.

Mr. Cash was represented by Attorney Lefteris K. Travayiakis and is presumed innocent until proven guilty

UPDATE

After an extended investigation, the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS) developed information that indicated homicide suspect WILLIAM CASH, 44, was hiding out at the Arbor Inn Motor Lodge on Bridge Street in Weymouth.

VFAS troopers, working with troopers from the State Police Detective Unit for Essex County, the State Police Special Tactical Operations (STOP) Team, Lynn Police, and Weymouth Police confirmed that CASH was at that location. Shortly after 3 a.m. today, the STOP Team made entry into the room and CASH was taken into custody without incident on the arrest warrant charging him with murder.

State Police utilized the STOP Team – the department’s specialized tactical entry team – because of the potentially high-risk nature of the arrest.

CASH was wanted for an Easter Sunday shooting in Lynn that killed one victim and injured a second. For any further information, including arraignment details, please contact the Essex District Attorney’s Office.
