GLOUCESTER – The Gloucester football team turned in a strong second half performance to defeat Beverly Friday night 25-15. Fisherman quarterback Matt Smith scored to 4th quarter touchdowns (1 yard / 31 yards). Mark Smith scored the games first touchdown in the 2nd quarter from 4 yards out. Daylon Lark added a 3rd quarter Gloucester touchdown on a 2 yard run. Beverly’s Clark Marchand scored both of the Beverly TDs, a 40 yard pass in the 2nd quarter and a 58 yard 3rd quarter run.
