PEABODY – (Radio) The Peabody High School boys basketball team came alive in the second led by Matt D’Amato’s 27 point performance, 17 points in the second half to defeat Gloucester High School 67-42. (D’Amato – 6 three point shots) Peabody led 33-31 at the half. The Tanner’s defense allowed only 11 second half points for the Fishermen. Evan Mason led Gloucester with 23 points. Peabody’s Chris Canela added 13 points while teammate Junior Estrella chipped in 11 points. Peabody will play at Essex Tech Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. while Gloucester will host Revere on Tuesday night. Peabody is now 8-3, Gloucester falls to 3-7.
