BEVERLY – The Marblehead Headers broke a 1-all tie early in the third period with a short-handed goal by Eli Feingold to down the Beverly Panthers (1-3-2) 4-2.
After falling behind 3-1, the Panthers’ Brayden Clark cut the lead to 3-2 with a power play goal off a slap shot at 13:54. The Headers, facing a 6 on 4, got an unassisted short-handed goal from Colin Hart at 13:34 to ice the win.
The game was played as part of a fund-raiser for the Jimmy Fund and for 10-year old Madeline St. Pierre, who dropped the ceremonial puck to start the game.
The Headers travel to Plymouth North Monday night, while the Panthers host the Danvers Falcons at 8 p.m. on Monday.
