Update – FInal – Gloucester 5 Swampscott 1
GLOUCESTER – The Gloucester Fishermen (4-3-2) pumped in 3 second period goals on their way to securing a 5-1 win over the Swampscott Big Blue (6-3-0). Freshman Jack Delaney put the Fishermen out in front, 1-0, with just 47 seconds gone in the second period with a nice feed from senior captain E.J. Field.
After Swampscott senior co-captain Connor Donovan tied the game on a set-up by the Drew Oliveri, the other senior captain, Gloucester’s Jeremy Abreu netted game winnter just 25 seconds later. Junior Ryan Bergin drew the assist.
Sohphomre Jack Constanzo added goals at the end of the second period and at the beginning of the third with Field picking up the finally tally with just 3 minutes left in the game.
Gloucester’s first line of Costanzo, Field, and Delaney finished the night with 10 points.
