MARBLEHEAD – (Radio – Video – Photos) The Marblehead boys basketball team earned their 8th win of the year by defeating Winthrop 72-49. The Magicians were led by Derek Marino’s 25 points, 17 of those points came in the first half. Sean McCarthy added 17 points and Danny Doherty scored 12 points. David Diaz led Winthrop with 15 points, five three point shots. Both teams return to action on Friday with Winthrop hosting Swampscott and Marblehead will playing at Peabody.
