GLOUCESTER – The Gloucester Fishermen downed the Peabody Tanners, 8 to 3, tonight at the Talbot Rink in the season opener for both teams. Junior Jack Costanzo led the Fishermen led the scoring with 2 goals and 2 assists, while freshmen Emerson Marshall rang up a hat trick. Ryan Frates, Jack Delaney, and Ryan Bergin also scored for the Fishermen. Matt Devin, Jager Ingham, and Luke Buckley scored the Tanner goals.
Gloucester led 3-2 after the first period and 6-2 after the second.
Senior Peabody captain Lucas DeMild was outstanding in net, keeping the Tanners competitive for most of the game.

GLOUCESTER – Live high school hockey returns on MSO Radio at 5:30 p.m. as the Peabody Tanners take on the Gloucester Fishermen at the Talbot Rink. The season opener in the Northeastern Conference, this game will be a particular challenge for the Tanners as they have a depleted roster due to COVID-19 contract tracing.
