BEVERLY – Thursday morning was the 40th anniversary of the Elliott Chambers rooming house fire. The fire was one of the deadliest in Massachusetts history.
On June 27, Beverly firefighters went to the monument and cleaned the site. Working with Public Services, a new bed of mulch was placed.
Wednesday morning, at 4:18, the firefighters left a flower box and a note.
