Coach’s Comments:

  • Melanie Powers had her best race of the year so far in her both in her speed and her placement on our team

  • This was a great race, going up against Hamilton-Wenham is always a major challenge but we did well, I look forward to the CAL meet this Saturday

From Generals’ Coach Nancy Waddell
The Generals ended their season today with a painful home loss.  The Generals dominated the entire game, but could not find the back of the net.  They found multiple crossbars and watched the ball bounce right through the six yard box many times.  Georgetown counter attacked in the final three minutes of the game.  They hadn’t managed more than a few weak dribblers and a few free kicks on the Generals’ goal, but they scored with two minutes remaining to earn the win.
On Senior Day, the Generals honored forwards Erin O’Shea, Cate Pasquarello and Meg Vien; midfielders  Ailis Heard-Burns and Grace Tymann; and injured goalkeeper Karen Caufield.
The Generals finish the season at 3-10-4 and can’t wait to get back out on the field next August.
