GLOUCESTER – St. Mary’s pitcher Lilly Newhall threw a 4-hitter and Michaela Walker blasted a bases-loaded triple in the 2nd inning to propel St. Mary’s to an opening day 9-1 win over Gloucester. Newhall struck out 9 and did not walk a batter in Colleen Newbury’s debut as the Spartans coach.
