Coach’s report from Hamilton-Wenham girls’ tennis coach Joe Maher:
#1 seeded Hamilton-Wenham Girls Tennis team (21-0) won an exciting 4-1 match over Sturgis West Charter today at Gordon College in front of a great crowd of spectators.
Winners for the Generals were:
#1 Singles Sky Jara 6-0, 6-1
#2 Singles Naomi Provost 6-1, 6-0
#1 Doubles Lisette Leonard and Libby Collins 6-0, 6-0
#2 Doubles Hannah Pasquarelllo and Abby Simon 6-0, 6-0
The Generals will face Uxbridge in the State Semifinals this week (TBA)

“The scores of the singles matches do not reflect the level of competition that Sturgis provided. The three singles matches were all very competitive and Sturgis really pushed us. Naomi and Sky are really playing at the top of their games right now and they were awesome today.”
With the win the Generals will play in their first state semi-final in school history.
