Groveland Fire Department to Hold Annual Turkey Raffle on Friday

GROVELAND — Chief Robert Valentine is pleased to announce that the Groveland Fire Department and the Groveland Firefighters Association are holding the annual turkey raffle this week.

Friday, Nov. 17 starting at 7 p.m.

WHERE:

Central Fire Station, 181 Main St.

WHAT:

The Groveland Fire Department in collaboration with the Groveland Firefighters Association will be raffling off frozen turkeys for residents and community members ahead of Thanksgiving.

The raffle includes 40 frozen turkeys that were generously donated by Fada Issa, owner of Groveland Auto Repair & Sales. Prizes including gift cards, cash and other donations will also be available during the raffle.

Residents and community members are encouraged to purchase tickets and attend the event for an evening of family fun. Pizza and refreshments will be served.

Tickets for the turkey raffle are $1 and can be purchased from any Groveland firefighter. Tickets for the cash prize raffle are $10 and can be purchased during the event.

Residents who wish to participate in the turkey raffle must attend the event in order to win. Residents who wish to participate in the cash prize raffle do not need to be in attendance to win the prize.

The proceeds raised from the raffle will go directly to the Groveland Firefighters Association for its annual scholarship that is awarded to any student who applies from Pentucket Regional High School or a Whitter Tech student who resides in the Pentucket region.
