CAPE ANN — The Greater Cape Ann Community Collaborative (GCACC) wishes to share updated details for its first clinic in Ipswich.
WHEN:
June 7 from 1-4 p.m.
WHERE:
Ipswich Town Hall 25 Green St., Ipswich
WHAT:
The GCACC’s first Ipswich clinic will be held on June 7 at Ipswich Town Hall and will distribute Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine. Walk-ins are welcome, however, appointments are encouraged and can be made by clicking here. The clinic is open to all age 12 and older, whether people need a first or a second dose of the vaccine.
“We encourage members of the community to stop by if they haven’t gotten their vaccine,” Town Manager Anthony Marino said. “As we rapidly approach the summer season, it’s imperative that as many members of our community get vaccinated as possible so that people are protected and everyone can be safe as we reopen and return to a new normal.”
Approximately 73% of Ipswich residents have gotten their first vaccine according to state data issued Thursday.
Those between the ages of 12 and 17 need to bring a consent form filled out by a parent or guardian to the clinic, if they are not being accompanied by a parent or guardian. However, the GCACC encourages parents and guardians to come with anyone under the age of 18 receiving a vaccine as children and teens may feel anxious.
Subsequent clinics will be held in Ipswich at Our Lady of Hope Parish at 1 Pineswamp Road beginning on Monday, June 21 from 1-4 p.m. for the foreseeable future.
The GCACC is also authorized by the MDPH to administer vaccines in other public spaces, and in targeted spaces such as businesses, schools, and houses of worship. Local organizations looking to partner with the GCACC can contact Hamilton Public Health Nurse Rachel Lee at 978-290-9618. The GCACC will publicize dates and times of open clinics when they are finalized.
