City of Gloucester Drought Update – May 20, 2025 Water Use Restrictions Lifted – Drought Status Back to Normal (Level 0)
As of today, May 20, 2025, the MassDEP-mandated water use restrictions have been officially lifted thanks to improved regional drought conditions. This update comes in accordance with our Water Management Act Registration (#31810701) and guidance from the Massachusetts Drought Management Task Force.
You may now resume normal water use — including outdoor activities like lawn watering, car washing, and pool filling.We sincerely thank our residents and businesses for your cooperation during the recent drought period!
