Water Use Restrictions Began Friday, October 17
GLOUCESTER – Due to ongoing dry weather across the region, the City of Gloucester will implement precautionary water use restrictions starting Friday, October 17.
Gloucester is currently drawing from our West System (Dykes, Haskell, and Wallace Reservoirs), which is at 46% capacity. The East System (Goose Cove and Babson Reservoirs) is at 92% capacity.
While our water levels remain stable, much of the Northeast is under drought conditions, and these steps are required under state guidelines to help conserve our water supply.
