Gloucester: Recycle Update from Mayor Greg Verga – DPW Available for Drop-off

GLOUCESTER – The city of Gloucester is now providing recycle drop-off at the DPW during Republic Services strike.

Recycling Drop-Off Now Available for Gloucester Residents
In response to the continued suspension of curbside recycling service due to the labor dispute between Teamsters Local 25 and Republic Services, the City of Gloucester has opened a temporary recycling drop-off site.
📍 Location: DPW Yard – 28 Poplar Street
🗓️ Start Date: Today, Monday, July 14
⏰ Hours:
➡️Today (7/14) only: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
➡️Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
This service is for residents only—no commercial drop-offs. Staff will be on-site to supervise.
To help keep things running smoothly, we ask that residents bring recycling on their regular collection day, if possible.
