GLOUCESTER — Chief Leonard Campanello reports that the Gloucester Police Department, with the aid of the United States Coast Guard, Massachusetts Environmental Police and Massachusetts State Police, are seeking a woman who may have gone missing near the water.
Susan Nilsson, age 56, of Rockport may have been walking near Gloucester Marine Railways near Rock Neck late Friday evening or early Saturday morning.
Police and rescuers are actively searching the water near the area at the Railways and have been visiting addresses in the area where she lives, works, and frequently visits.
Nilsson is white, 5-foot-5, weighing 130 lbs. She has green eyes, a medium build, and blond/light brown hair.
Police found personal items believed to belong to Nilsson on the dock and in the water nearby.
