GLOUCESTER — Chief Edward Conley reports the Gloucester Police Department and Essex County District Attorney’s Office are actively investigating after a body was found this morning at Burnham’s Field.
Gloucester Police responded to the field, located between Burnham Street and Pleasant Street, at 6:46 a.m. this morning, and came upon an unresponsive woman believed to be in her late 50s or early 60s. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident remains under active investigation by the Gloucester Police Department and the Essex County District Attorney’s Office. Foul play is not suspected. No additional information is available at this time.
