Gloucester: National Grid Emergency Electrical Work

National Grid will be performing emergency installation work in downtown Gloucester beginning TONIGHT, May 27, 2025, during overnight hours from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday.

This work is necessary and has been coordinated in consultation with the Department of Public Works.

Construction Details:

Start Date: Tuesday, May 27, 2025

Work Hours: 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM (overnight)

Schedule: Sunday through Thursday nights

Duration: Approximately 2 – 3 weeks

What to Expect:

No Power Outages are expected.

Sidewalks will remain open during this work.

Work is scheduled overnight to minimize disruption to businesses and the public.

National Grid has already begun business outreach and will continue direct communications with stakeholders in the area.
