The order will go into effect at 12 p.m. (noon) on Sunday, March 22.

With guidance from the City’s public health officials, along with information received from state, federal and global public health agencies, the City has been assessing activities, businesses and service sectors that pose the greatest risk of spreading the novel coronavirus during this health crisis. Community members and business owners should anticipate further measures in the near future in addition to those announced today.

“We recognize the hardship this order will have on many businesses in the community, but we feel it is in the best interest of our City as a way to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus,” Mayor Romeo Theken said. “We are grateful for the community’s continued efforts as everyone does their part during this difficult time.”

This Emergency Order shall remain in effect until notice is given, pursuant to the Board of Health’s judgment, that the Public Health Emergency no longer exists.
