GLOUCESTER — Chief Eric Smith reports that the Gloucester Fire Department will be holding a procession and service for fallen firefighters at the Cherry Hill Cemetery Fallen Firefighter Memorial site the second weekend of June. |

The Gloucester Fire Department will gather at the DPW yard on Poplar Street, and march to Washington Street, to Harvey Place, and end at the Firefighters Memorial in Cherry Hill Cemetery, where a service will be held to honor Gloucester’s Fallen Firefighters. This years guest speaker will be Mayor Greg Verga. |
“This event is a great way to show support for our fallen firefighters and those who have lost their lives in the line of duty,” said Chief Smith. “We encourage the community to come to this event to remember those who have served their community. I am proud to be a part of this memorial and I would like to thank Firefighter Joe Johnson and his team for coordinating this event.” |
