GLOUCESTER – (Audio) The Gloucester Fire Department is undergoing some changes with the recent retirement of several of its veterans. In the interview below, Gloucester Fire Chief Eric Smith talks about the changes in the department as well as the implementation of some new technology, how the department coordinates with other city departments and with the Coast Guard, the state of contract negotiations, and how the department looks to continuously improve.
