Single track service over the Gloucester Drawbridge resumed this morning, Monday, May 23, marking the resumption of Commuter Rail service to Gloucester and Rockport Stations. We thank our riders for their patience as we continue to complete this important infrastructure project.

Significant progress was made during this extended closure, allowing the MBTA to accelerate multiple projects that would have required service interruptions at a later date. The MBTA appreciates its customers’ patience and understanding as workers complete critical upgrades to infrastructure and improve safety and reliability for decades to come.
