We are in the process of mailing out the VOTE BY MAIL and ABSENTEE BALLOTS.
The deadline to register to vote, change party affiliation, change name or address for the state primary election on November 3, 2020 is Saturday, October 24, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The deadline to request a VOTE BY MAIL ballot is Wednesday, October 28, 2020
The deadline to request an ABSENTEE BALLOT BY MAIL is Wednesday, October 28, 2020
The deadline to vote by absentee IN PERSON is Monday, November 2, 2020 by noon.
IN PERSON EARLY VOTING will be held at City Hall, 9 Dale Avenue, during the following dates and times:
- Saturday, October 17, 2020 – 8:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
- Sunday, October 18, 2020 – 8:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
- Monday, October 19, 2020 – 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, October 20, 2020 – 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, October 21, 2020 – 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Thursday, October 22, 2020 – 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Friday, October 23, 2020 – 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Saturday, October 24, 2020 – 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Sunday, October 25, 2020– 8:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
- Monday, October 26, 2020 – 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, October 27, 2020 – 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, October 28, 2020– 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Thursday, October 29, 2020 – 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Friday, October 30, 2020 – 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Deadline for early voting in-person.
On the November 3, 2020 Election Day, the polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the following polling locations listed by ward & precinct:
- 1-1 East Gloucester School at 8 Davis Street Extension
- 1-2 Veterans Memorial School at 11 Webster Street
- 2-1 Our Lady of Good Voyage Church Youth Center at 140 Prospect Street
- 2-2 Our Lady of Good Voyage Church Youth Center at 140 Prospect Street
- 3-1 Gloucester High School Cafeteria at 36 Leslie O. Johnson Rd.
- 3-2 Gloucester High School Cafeteria at 36 Leslie O. Johnson Rd.
- 4-1 Beeman Memorial School at 138 Cherry Street
- 4-2 Plum Cove School at 15 Hickory Street *(polling location change)
- 5-1 Magnolia Library Center at 1 Lexington Avenue
- 5-2 West Parish Elementary School at 10 Concord Street
You may drop off your cast ballot in the drop box located on the Warren Street side entrance of City Hall and also in the handicapped entrance on Dale Avenue.
