Marblehead Girls Basketball Edges Peabody 38-33, Hear from Coach Moran & Co-Captains

MARBLEHEAD (Photos – Videos) – The Marblehead girls basketball team scored a 38-33 win over Peabody (10-5) Tuesday night to improve to 9-5 on the season. Marblehead’s top scorer was Tess Andriano with 12-points. Ramona Gillett added 8-points. The game’s high scorer was Peabody’s Logan Lomasney (17-points). Marblehead led at the half by just one point (18-17). In the second half Peabody had a six point lead (28-22) but Marblehead rallied back to tie the game at 31-31 when Marietta O’Connell hit a three-point shot with 5:01 to play in the game. From there, Marblehead closed out the game by outscoring the Tanners 7-2 for the win.
