GEORGETOWN – The Georgetown Water Department will need to create a service interruption next week due to necessary water main maintenance in Town.
From Monday, July 22 through Friday, July 26, crews from J.P. Cardillo & Son Inc. will be in Town prepping for maintenance on the water mains at Central, Andover and West Main streets.
Residents are notified to expect the following disruptions:
- Andover Street: Tuesday, July 23 starting at 9 a.m. through approximately 1 p.m.
- West Main Street: Wednesday, July 24 starting at 11 a.m. through approximately 2 p.m.
Additionally, repair work will be conducted on Central Street in the area of Crosby’s and CVS, on Tuesday morning, July 23. This work is not expected to disrupt water distribution but will cause an increased level of traffic. Businesses will remain open, but residents seeking to travel through Georgetown to I-95 or other points should use East and West Main streets instead of Central Street.
Excavation will be conducted on Monday, and the roadways are expected to be re-paved on Friday.
