GEORGETOWN — Chief Donald C. Cudmore reports that the Georgetown Police Department arrested a local woman for allegedly possessing and intending to distribute Fentanyl and other drugs this week.
On Monday, March 7, police executed a search warrant at a residence on Juniper Lane, which resulted in the arrest of STEPHANIE ANN HILLS, AGE 22, OF GEORGETOWN. Fentanyl and other drugs, including prescription drugs, were seized during the search.
HILLS is charged with:
- Drug Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Substance
- Drug Possession of a Class B Substance (Two Counts)
- Drug Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class E Substance
- Drug Possession of a Class E Substance
Fentanyl, a synthetic opioid that is many times stronger than morphine. It is commonly added to heroin, making the effects much stronger. It is extremely dangerous. In fact, Fentanyl has been blamed for countless overdose deaths among heroin users across the country.
Chief Cudmore praised the work of Sgt. Michael Goddu and Detective Derek Jones for their efforts and diligence in this case.
“These cases require long hours and detailed police work, and we will not tolerate drug dealing in our community,” Chief Cudmore said. “The opiate epidemic has reached all levels of our society and it is killing people every day. I can assure our residents that if the police receive information about drug distribution in Georgetown, we will aggressively pursue the criminals responsible.”
HILLS was held at the Georgetown police station pending her arraignment at Haverhill District Court.
