St. Mary’s 9,  Arlington Catholic 0 – Spartans now  8-0 on the season. Isaiah Weston for things started offensively with a solo home run while Josh Doney (win) and Jacob Peterson combined on a 3-hitter with 9K.

College Sports

Baseball

Salem State 12, Worcester State 10 – The Vikings scored three times while down to their final out to beat Worcester State 12-10 in a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) contest on Friday afternoon at Kevin D. Lyons Baseball Diamond.  The Vikings improved to 16-13, 9-7 while the Lancers dropped to 8-22, 7-9. Both teams will meet again this afternoon when the Vikings will return back to The Central Campus Baseball Field for a doubleheader against Worcester State. Game one is scheduled at noon and game two at 2:30.

Thursday Tennis Result – Hamilton-Wenham Girls Tennis (5-0) defeated Ipswich today 5-0. The Generals singles all dominated in their action led by a great win by Eilie Holbrook at third singles (6-1, 6-2)

Emma Jani (6-0, 6-0) and Naomi Provost (6-0, 6-0) continued their dominate play at 1st and 2nd singles respectively.
Ipswich doubles teams came out firing in the first sets, but Hamilton-Wenham’s doubles got more aggressive in the following sets to get the sweep.
First doubles Emily McIntosh and Sienna Gregory won a strong match against Norah Hickey and Lila Borgman 2-6, 6-0, 6-3
Second doubles of Maddie Minich and Izzy Church won 2-6, 6-1, 6-0 over Frannie Hertz and Emily Hannibal.
