New Updates
The City of Salem is planning to reopen offices at City Hall (93 Washington Street) and City Hall Annex (98 Washington Street) to the public no earlier than Monday, June 15th. That date is subject to change. Offices will reopen for their regular business hours: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to noon. Residents are still able and encouraged to conduct as much City business as possible online via email, the City website, or telephone, even after offices reopen to the public. If you must visit a City office after they reopen, please observe all posted safety restrictions that will be in place inside these buildings.
- The City will resume enforcing and charging for all metered parking spaces, both those on-street and in lots, on Monday, June 8th. The temporary 15-minute restaurant pick-up spaces will remain in effect and no payment to the meters is required to park in those spaces. Parking enforcement will monitor and ticket if vehicles are left in those spaces for more than 15 minutes, however.
- Salem’s small businesses are invited to participate in a Small Business Town Hall with City officials to talk about safe reopening and ask questions. The Town Hall takes place on June 4th at 3 p.m. Registration is required and can be done at www.salem.com/registration.
