Friday, August 29: Beverly Trash Removal – Update

Weather – Mostly sunny…low 70s

BEVERLY – This is Mayor Mike Cahill with a Thursday evening trash update. Today, Republic was supposed to finish the missed regular Tuesday trash and collect the regular Wednesday routes. We know that there is much of the regular Wednesday routes that they have not yet gotten to. This includes neighborhoods downtown and in Centerville, Beverly Farms, and Prides Crossing. So, tomorrow they will add a sixth truck to Beverly. They will dedicate trucks to finish all the regular Wednesday routes, and to pick up the regular Thursday routes. All regular Thursday customers should put your trash and recycling out by 7 AM tomorrow morning, and Republic will collect it all as trash. Again, collection remains a day delayed right now, and tomorrow the regular Thursday customers will be collected. The regular Friday customers should not put anything out. Your trash and recycling will next be picked up on Tuesday after the Labor Day holiday.
Thank you, All.

A big thank you to our outstanding summer crew at the DPW — Ryan Frates, Cullen MacWhinnie, Zack Abbott, and Nick White.
Over the past few months, they’ve gone above and beyond, especially during the recent trash and recycling labor stoppage with Republic Services. We’re grateful for their dedication and proud to have you on the team!
