20 days left to get your Singing Beach Passes at the discounted rate of $25! All visitors to Singing Beach ages 12 to 65 need a pass (or pay the daily walk on rate) to enter the beach. Tags can be purchased online or in the Manchester Parks and Recreation office.

Drought Update for GloucesterThe Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) has downgraded the Northeast Region, including Gloucester, to a Level 2 – Significant Drought.
What This Means Due to this new status, all nonessential outdoor water use is banned, with a few exceptions:
Watering of ornamental and flower gardens is only allowed with drip irrigation, hand-held hoses, or watering cans.
Water use for food production (like vegetable gardens and fiber crops) is still permitted.
Reservoir Update: 
East system (Babson and Goose Cove) is at 97% capacity.

Had the honor of sitting through the GHS JROTC visit from Rear Admiral Matthew Pottenburgh. Admiral Pottenburgh has recently taken command of the Naval Recruit Training Command, NJROTC, Naval Reserve Training Corps among others. In laymen’s term- he’s a big deal for the Navy! This is the first visit of its kind in over 20 years for GHS history.
Great presentation demonstration from the GHS JROTC and congratulations to Cadet Ace Abate who received a challenge coin from Admiral Pottenburgh. It is an honor to receive a challenge coin from any official but to receive one from a one star (or any star) is pretty elite.

Unified T&F started strong vs. MHD! Andy Nguyen set a PR in shot put (26-5 ft), while Erik Shehaj (13-7 ft) & Anson Froeschl (12-5 ft) set PRs in long jump. Kriss Grace (45-2 ft) & Elijah Sneed (37-9 feet) also PR’d in Javelin, & Joe Blackburn-Peters ran the 100M in 13.72 seconds
