Hamilton-Wenham Girls Soccer – Hamilton-Wenham 3, Rockport 0 – The Generals got on the board in the ninth minute on a goal by senior midfielder Lily Mark with an assist to junior midfielder Maren Cassidy. Just two minutes later, Mark put in another with an assist to junior forward Tessa Hunt. Shortly after that, Hunt scored her own with an assist to junior midfielder Annie Moynihan. Stewart Bernard earned her ninth shutout. The Generals are now 10-0-1 will face Amesbury at home on Monday.
Hamilton-Wenham Volleyball – The Hamilton-Wenham volleyball team battled back from an 0-2 deficit on the road to defeat CAL foe Lynnfield 3-2 (10-25, 17-25, 25-23, 27-25, 15-13) on Thursday evening. After the Pioneers controlled every aspect of the first two sets, the Generals fought through to win a very competitive next three sets by two points each, even fighting off a pair of set points in the fourth.
Senior Gaby Campbell shined offensively for the Hamilton-Wenham, contributing 19 kills to the cause with only one hitting error. Junior Ava Day was great from the service line and defensively with 10 aces and 8 digs, while senior setter Hannah Ciriello contributed 30 assists, 3 digs, 2 aces, and 2 block assists. Additionally, Hannah Powers had her best performance of the year on the right side.
