Endicott Football Game Notes

The Endicott football team (1-0) is set to visit WPI (1-0) on Friday, September 9 in a primetime 7 PM matchup at Alumni Field. Here’s a preview of today’s contest.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Friday’s game marks the fourth meeting in the all-time series (WPI leads 2-1).
  • The last time these two teams clashed, the Gulls completed a courageous comeback bid by scoring 28 points in the second half (28-14, 9/10/21).
  • Senior running back Anthony Caggianelli (Pelham, N.H.) accounted for 100 all-purpose yards of offense (102) in Enidcott’s 27-0 rout over St. Lawrence.
  • WPI has registered a 20-12 record since 2018.
  • Senior quarterback Dante Coccagnia (E. Syracuse, N.Y.) compiled career bests in all statistical categories in the Engineers’ 58-21 win over Worcester State last week by completing 17 of 23 passes for 304 yards for three touchdowns.
