LYNN – Investigators developed probable cause to charge Eric German-Pena, 25, of Lynn with the murder of Ilias Mavros, 48, of Lynn, Essex County District Attorney Paul F. Tucker announces. German-Pena is expected to be arraigned in Lynn District Court this morning.
On Monday evening at approximately 6:30 p.m., Lynn Police responded to a residence on Stanwood Street in Lynn to conduct a well-being check of the resident at the request of family members. Upon arrival, officers discovered Ilias Mavros, 48, of Lynn, with apparent signs of trauma. He was pronounced deceased on scene. The Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to Tucker’s office, Lynn Police, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner investigated.
