Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Peabody last night, according to District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett and Peabody Police Tom Griffin.
At approximately 9:41pm last evening, Peabody Police responded to a reported shooting at 78 Wallis Street. Upon arrival, Peabody Police Officers located a 25-year-old male party suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police and Emergency Medical Paramedics provided emergency first aid to the victim who was transported by ambulance to Salem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is ongoing by the Essex District Attorney’s Office, Peabody Police Officers, and Mass State Police Detectives assigned to Essex District Attorney’s Office.
