BEVERLY — The Endicott football team defeated Norwich, 26-13, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium.
Clayton Marengi (Lynnfield) and Tyler Bridge (Wells, Maine) both scored a pair of rushing touchdowns to lead the Gulls in the win.
Marengi’s scores came in the first (12-yards, 6-0, 8:31) and fourth quarters (3-yards, 26-7, 2:43), while Bridge found the end zone in the second (5-yards, 13-0, 3:11) and fourth (3-yards, 19-7, 11:24), respectively.
Yavier Cosme-Diaz (Stratford, Conn.) also put together a career day on the ground behind 14 carries for 107 yards (7.6 average).
Defensively, Matthew Licciardi (East Greenwich, R.I.) compiled a career-high 14 tackles (10 solo, 1 TFL) alongside one forced fumble and two quarterback hurries.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 3-0 all-time against Norwich.
- The Gulls have only allowed 20 points through four games this season, the fewest during that span in program history.
- Tyler Davis (Bethel, Conn.) tied his career-high for tackles with 11 total (6 solo).
