Endicott Football Picked For Third Place in League – Men’s Soccer Picked #1 – Other Teams “Polling” Well – SID Earns Honor

BEVERLY – The Endicott football team has been picked third in the Commonwealth Coast Football (CCC Football) league preseason coaches’ poll. It was announced earlier today by the conference office.
Endicott received 26 points – including one first place vote – to rank behind No. 24 nationally ranked Western New England (34 points, five first place votes) and Salve Regina (28), respectively. Curry (16), Nichols (12), and Becker (10) followed suit in respective order to round out the poll.
Endicott opens up its 2017 slate against Framingham State University on Saturday, September 2 at home at 12 PM.

BEVERLY – The Endicott College Athletics and Recreation Department has announced its 2017-18 Tailgating Policy for all sports for the upcoming academic year. BEVERLY – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) office announced its preseason coaches’ poll on Monday and the Endicott men’s soccer team earned the top spot.
The Gulls were regular season champions during the 2016 season, posting a 12-5-3 overall record and an 8-1 conference record. They narrowly missed the tournament championship game when they fell to Western New England in penalty kicks in the semifinal round. Endicott was awarded a total of 96 points in the poll, with six first place votes.
Wentworth took the second slot with 90 points and three first place votes, while Gordon was awarded 77 points for third place.
Western New England, the defending CCC Champions, tallied a total of 70 points with one first place vote to round out the top four selections.
Roger Williams and Nichols took the No. 5 and No. 6 spots with 60 and 50 points, respectively. Finishing out the poll was Curry (32 points), Salve Regina (30 points), University of New England (26 points), and Eastern Nazarene (19 points).
The Gulls open the season on Friday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. when MIT travels to Hempstead Stadium for the North Shore Invitational.

BEVERLY.- With the 2017 season fast approaching, the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) office announced the women’s soccer preseason coaches’ poll and Endicott was awarded the No. 2 spot.
First place went to Roger Williams with 94 points (five first place votes) but the Gulls were right on their heels with 93 points (five first place votes). Defending CCC Champions Wentworth nabbed the No. 3 slot with 83 points, while the University of New England rounded out the top four with 67 points.
Curry and Salve Regina were awarded 50 and 47 points, respectively, for fifth and sixth places. Finishing out the poll were Gordon (46 points), Western New England (39 points), Nichols (17 points), and Eastern Nazarene (14).
Endicott (13-4-2, 7-2 CCC in 2016) returns to the pitch for the 2017 season on Saturday, Sept. 2 when they travel to Keene St. for a 1 p.m. contest.


BEVERLY.- The Endicott women’s volleyball team was voted to finish first by the leagues 10 head coaches in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) preseason coaches’ poll, which was announced Wednesday.
The Gulls, who enter 2017 as the defending CCC Champions, garnered 95 total points, including six out of ten first place votes. Roger Williams was close behind in second place with 91 points while earning the remaining four first place votes.
Western New England (76 points) and Salve Regina (68 points) took the No. 3 and No.4 spots to round out the top four selections.
Wentworth (58 points) came in fifth, while Gordon was one point behind in the sixth slot with 57 points. Finishing out the poll were University of New England (45 points), Curry (27 points), Eastern Nazarene (20 points), and Nichols (13 points).
Endicott begins the 2017 season on Friday, Sept. 1 when they play Emmanuel at 5 p.m. during the Springfield College Invitational.


BEVERLY – The Endicott women’s tennis program has been picked to finish second overall in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Preseason Coaches’ Poll, as voted upon by the league’s nine head coaches.

Defending CCC champion Nichols College was chosen to retain its crown after collecting 80 points, including eight out of the conference’s nine first place votes.
Endicott followed in second place with 72 points (1 first place vote), while Roger Williams ranked third (62), and Gordon (56) and Western New England (44) followed suit in fourth and fifth place, respectively. Meanwhile, Eastern Nazarene (30), Wentworth (27), Salve Regina (23), and Curry (11) rounded out the remainder of the poll in exact order.
The Gulls will begin their 2017 campaign on September 4 at home against Bridgewater State University in non-conference action at 12 PM.


 

BEVERLY – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) office has announced the field hockey preseason coaches’ poll and Endicott was awarded the No. 2 spot.
The Gulls earned a total of 38 points, to rank just behind defending three-time CCC Champion University of New England, who tallied 49 points and all seven first place votes.
Western New England and Salve Regina came in third and fourth places with 35 and 27 points, respectively. Rounding out the poll were Gordon (20), Roger Williams (19), and Nichols (8).
Endicott (11-9, 9-3 CCC in 2016) opens the 2017 season on Saturday, Sept. 2 when they host Wheaton for a 4 p.m. contest.


BEVERLY – In a vote conducted by his peers, Endicott Sports Information Director Shawn Medeiros has been chosen as the Division III Sports Information Directors Association (D3SIDA) Region 1 Representative.
Medeiros will be responsible for advocating and assisting sports information personnel in Region 1, which consists of the following areas: Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Vermont. His term as D3SIDA Region 1 Representative will last for two years.
“I am very humbled to be chosen as D3SIDA’s Region 1 Representative by my peers,” said Medeiros. “Every candidate on the ballot was worthy of being picked for this role, so I’m quite thankful for the opportunity.”
