Endicott College Men’s Ice Hockey Beats Wentworth 3-1 – Ross Olsson 1 Goal & 2 Assists For Gulls

EVERETT – Endicott sophomores Ross Olsson (Billerica, Mass.) and Cam Bleck (Lake Forest, Ill.) combined for five points on Thursday night at Allied Veterans Rink to lead the Gulls past Wentworth, 3-1, in conference action.

Olsson buried one goal and dished out two assists on the night, while Beck tallied one marker and one helper to push their point totals to nine, and eight, respectively, on the season.

Jason Kalinowski (Stamford, Conn.) got the Gulls on the scoreboard first with his second goal of the season at 2:52 of the first, before Olsson scored at 6:04 on the power play in the second for the eventual game-winner. Bleck then put the game on ice later on in the third with his fourth goal of the year at the 4:27 mark.

Kevin Aldridge (Birmingham, Mich.) compiled 26 saves to improve to 2-2-2 overall on the year, while Ryan Hubbard (West Bridgewater, Mass.) recorded 32 saves in the loss (1-5-0).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is now 3-1-1 in the all-time series versus Wentworth.
  • Olsson has eight points total in his last three games played.
  • Meanwhile, Bleck has registered five points during the same span as Olsson.
  • Tommy Besinger (Milton, Mass.) also recorded an assist on Olsson’s goal in the second.
  • The Gulls are 2-1-2 on the road this season.

  • Matthew Kennedy (Mount Pearl, Newfoundland, Canada) made it a 2-1 game at the 8:23 mark of the second on feeds from Angus Johnston (Calgary, Alberta, Canada), and Jake McDonough (Marshfield, Mass.).
  • Kennedy is tied for the team-lead in goals with two, along with Johnston, so far this season.
  • The Leopards are 1-4-0 at home on the year.
