Endicott College Football Hosting St. Lawrence Saturday at Noon – Gulls Looking For First Win – Video Preview With Coach Kevin DeWall

BEVERLY, Mass. – (Video) The Endicott football team (0-2) will host St. Lawrence University (2-0) this Saturday in a non-conference game at Hempstead Stadium at 12 p.m. Here’s a preview of this weekend’s matchup.

NEED TO KNOW: St. Lawrence defeated Endicott, 34-9, in Canton, N.Y. last season, which marked the first-ever meeting between the two programs.

ENDICOTT (STATS): Despite their 0-2 record, the Gulls have statistically outperformed the 2015 version of themselves in nearly offensive category including scoring (41-23), points per game (20.5-11.5), rushing yardage (268-152), rushing yardage per game (134.0-76.0), passing yardage (429-327), and passing yardage per game (214.5-163.5), time of possession (30:15-24:52), and total offense (697-479). Endicott’s defensive numbers, statistically, are similar in comparison to last year with the only major difference being points off turnovers (8-0).

ST. LAWRENCE (STATS): The Saints rank No. 1 in the country in scoring defense as they have not allowed a single point to start the 2016 season with shutouts coming against SUNY Morrisville (28-0), and Norwich (52-0). In its game against Norwich, St. Lawrence scored more points than the Cadets compiled in total offense (44 yards). The Saints also held Norwich to -1 rushing yards on 30 attempts.
