Endicott College: Field Hockey Bests Gordon On Senior Day, 8-1 – Danvers HS Alum Scores

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott field hockey team defeated Gordon, 8-1, on Saturday afternoon in Conference of New England (CNE) action on North Field.

Prior to the game, seniors Emma Antkowiak (Sandown, N.H.)Meg Arnette (Merrimac.)Grace Gervais (Andover)Casey Halliday (Monroe, Conn.)Kathleen Reissfelder (Westwood), Taylor Stone (Old Saybrook, Conn.)Brooke Yabroudy (Nashua, N.H.), and Maddy Young (Hingham) were all honored for their contributions to the field hockey program and the Endicott community.

Tori Swanson (Farmington) paced the offense with a hat-trick, her third hat-trick of the season.

Meanwhile, Maddy Dengler (Winchester), Arnette, Reagan Hicks (Barnstable), Stone, and Emma Wilichoski (Danvers) all found the back of the cage once in the victory.

Defensively, the Gulls only gave up one shot on goal helping Alexis DeMattia (Methuen)Caroline Harvey (Dover), and Faith Minickene (Madison, Conn.) combine for the victory. Minickene played the first half, while DeMattia and Harvey backstopped the Gulls in the last two periods, respectively.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott improves to 27-8 all-time versus Gordon.
  • Arnette has scored a goal in each of the last three games.
  • Swanson now ranks second place all-time for goals with 58 (five behind first all-time).
  • Gulls finish October with a 7-1 record.
