BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott men’s basketball graduate forward Marcus Montagnino (Gloucester) has been named the Conference of New England’s (CNE) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Montagnino powered the Gulls to a 2-0 week against UNE and Suffolk, averaging 24.0 points per game (55.9 FG%) along with 9.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.5 steals.
Against UNE last Wednesday (92-62), Montagnino put up 20 points (56.3 FG%), 11 rebounds, seven assists, and three steals. He followed up that performance with 28 points (55.6 FG%), seven rebounds, two steals, and a block versus Suffolk on Saturday (82-62).
This marks Montagnino’s ninth CNE Rookie of the Week award this season, and seventh consecutive (11/18/24, 11/25/24, 12/9/24, 1/6/25, 1/13/25, 1/21/25, 1/27/25, 2/3/25).
