Endicott Basketball: Montagnino Collects Eighth Straight CNE Rookie Of The Week Award

BEVERLY — Endicott men’s basketball graduate forward Marcus Montagnino (Gloucester) has been named the Conference of New England’s (CNE) Rookie of the Week for the eighth consecutive week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

Montagnino averaged 22 points per game (48.5 FG%), 11.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 4.5 steals in a 2-0 week against Nichols (93-77) and Hartford (78-63).

On Tuesday versus Nichols, Montagnino led the Gulls with a game-high 32 points (11-20 FG, 2-5 3PT, 8-8 FT), 12 rebounds, and six assists. It was his sixth 30+ point scoring outing this season.

He followed up that performance on Saturday against Hartford with 12 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, four steals, and two blocks.

Montagnino has now won nine CNE Rookie of the Week awards this season (11/18/24, 11/25/24, 12/9/24, 1/6/25, 1/13/25, 1/21/25, 1/27/25, 2/3/25, 2/10/25).
